Wow what an experience. I would love love love to learn chinese medicine from a man such as Dr. Ho, just seeing him in photos he looks so wise and happy. I'm so happy your friend didn't actually have cancer.

Amazing post...happiness is really the best medicine. I could use some of that tea for my laryngitis right now. I love eastern medicine...it is so much less toxic that some of our western alternatives.

Takes me back to my high school days In Chinatown in Manila. I have always admired Eastern medicine too. I remember buying Pay-Pak-Wang (no sure if the spelling is correct) every time I lose my voice before our play. It doesn't taste nice but truly effective. :)

Yes! So peaceful, the kind of beach I like, few people. You should upload your photos somewhere. I bet they are lovely. But, what I really want to see are more photos of the baby :)

I was in Koh Lanta years ago and relly liked it. And you're right about those beaches. Fantastic, and very different from many of the other often crowded and small beaches around Thailand. I suppose I should upload my pictures somewhere some time...

we are planning to visit Zhangjiajie during this year's Chinese new year. And we were wondering if the Zhangjiajie national park is not too crowded during that period.
Like taking the cable car and visiting the glass walk-way

What was your experience?

Hula hoops are so rad! I used to be a sad little girl when I couldn't do it, so I'm sure I'll be a happy 33 year old when I can do it!
I'd love to hear a few of your train roulette stories sometime! Maybe via postcard! I'll plan the postcard swap after this term ends!! I'll let you know about it for sure!!

Couple of comments,
There are a lot of ladies (and a few guys) here in the PHX doing Hula Hoops, they dig it!
When I lived in Syria I did a few train (and bus roulettes) and I enjoyed the day! I also did it twice in Mexico City but ended up in a scary place so I stopped that.
I got a postcard to send if I get one from you!

Hi! I actually mailed it probably the first week of March. I can't believe you haven't gotten it yet. I do have a copy of it, I'll send you that. The original is written in 2 different colored ink and on regular paper. I went out and bought pretty stationary and rewrote it one color, before I sent it.

Thanks. Yes, it's true, I won't be able to attend the openings. My holidays are set up by the Chinese government and asking for days off outside of those times are impossible. But, I'll be there in spirit!
